Astronomy Data Sonification
In Chile a new observatory is being built in Sierra Talolo, called the Rubin Observatory, named after the astronomer Vera Rubin, that is soon to start being used for gathering data in 2021. It has a Mirror Bank with a Width of 8 metres.
Because of the large mirror bank they also need a large detector. The one which they have used in the observatory is called an LSST cam. This detector has many excellent attributes, such as the Field of View fitting 7 moons across and high definition resolution allowing the researchers to see further away in better focus.
